Project Description:
Design and construction of rockfill dam using a sealing component made up of geosynthetic and appurtenant facilities. The dam has a maximum height of 33 meters from the foundation elevation and a reservoir volume of 25 mcm, is located near Khosravi border, 15 km southwest of Qasr-e Shirin in Kermanshah province. The contract is an EPC type, which is being implemented under the supervision of a non-governmental employer (Kesht Sanat Biston Pars Company). The aim of the project is to supply and adjust irrigation of 3000 ha of gardens which is under construction within the project area. When the project is finished, part of the water running through Alvand River will be stored in the reservoir in non-agricultural seasons.. In the seasons, the target gardens will need to be used. , Significant features of the project are The situation of the project in terms of its location in the border region, the region’s climate potentials for the production of fresh ruby grapes and the production of quality citrus and dates, and the support of an industrial complex for the cultivation and production of orchards.
