Project Description :

Water shortage in the Hamedan in recent years, lead to the necessity of increasing the height of Ekbatan Dam.

The design of increasing the height was prepared in such a way that, the existing facilities would not need to go out of operation

Increasing the dam height from 54 m to 79 m is a rare occurrence in similar projects. Reservoir capacity increased to 40 mcm, 8 mcm more than the existing capacity.
